“I’m more focused than ever” – Amir Khan and Lamont Peterson hit Los Angeles

Peterson vs Khan : Today in Los Angeles at the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live, former champion Amir Khan and his most recent conqueror, IBF/WBA champion Lamont Peterson staged a press conference ahead of their May 19th rematch at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Last December, Peterson overcame a first-round knockdown on his way towards staging a furious rally against the British star, remaining in his chest and taking the fight right at Khan. And while Amir had success of his own, it was Peterson who escaped with a split-decision victory in his hometown of Washington, D.C. after twelve fast-paced rounds.

Knowing fully well that Khan, who had two points deducted for pushing in the first fight, felt that he should have received the decision, Peterson admits that each of them will be coming in with a chip on their shoulder.

“Amir Khan believes he won the last fight and I believe that I won, so we’re both going in this with something to prove,” stated Peterson.
