Cotto takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in possibly the year’s biggest fight.

Inside of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Mayweather didn’t drop any sound bites that were derogatory or out of line, but he instead started off by thanking those closest to him for helping him push forward in his boxing journey.

“I’m truly blessed to be where I’m at today in my career,” Mayweather said at the press conference. “I’ve faced a lot of great champions and I’ve had great fights. Golden Boy Promotions has done a hell of job with their fighters. Al Haymon, Leonard Ellerbe, and everybody that’s behind this, has done a hell of a job with my career.”

In the past Mayweather has had a frosty relationship with the press, labeling some members of the media as haters and feeling that certain people fail to recognize his accomplishments. However today he changed his tune and extended a sign of appreciation for everyone who has kept his name in the headlines over the years.
