Here's a partial round-by-round recap, and an attached video of Ana Julaton's gallant effort to defend her WBO super bantamweight title against Yesica Marcos last night in Argentina.

Marcos came prepared for Julaton, as she timed and picked off her assault with stinging hooks and jabs right from the opening bell. Julaton would find herself on the canvas immediately, but was ruled a slip by the referee. Julaton tried lead with her jab and go in-and-out, but kept getting stuffed by Marcos' counters.
10-9 Marcos
In the second round, Julaton caught Marcos with a nice hook that stunned and dropped the Argentinian. Instead of backing down, however, Marcos did not yield the momentum, and caught Julaton with several uppercuts that slowed down the champ. Julaton maintained her composure and continued to try to put on the pressure, but ate a lot of clean jabs and hooks in the process.
